Ever since I graduated from high school I have felt God calling me to full time ministry, but I lacked direction and clarity on how to pursue that. After going to community college for a couple of years, not knowing what to study and working a few different jobs I knew that my heart was yearning for something more. I so badly wanted to be obedient to what God was calling me to do. In 2011 after I graduated from high school, God blessed me with this amazing place called Red Rocks Church. Over the past few years it has without a doubt become my church home. I just knew this was where God wanted me to be. Last year, I was baptized at Red Rocks Church! I currently live with some amazing brothers in Christ that I met through the church. I volunteer in several departments for the church, and I am deeply rooted in the church’s Young Adults ministry. I honestly could go on and on. But I don’t tell you all these things to brag on myself, but in order to bring God Glory, to tell of His goodness! All the different ways God has used this church is awe inspiring to me, and I’m so grateful for everything He’s done. I would not be the man I am today if it wasn't for God making Red Rocks Church a part of my life.
Now, on to the BIG news! A few months back I found out that the church was offering an internship. Immediately, I knew it was something that I needed to consider. Through lots of prayer and wise counsel, God made it clear to me that this was the ministry opportunity I had been waiting for. I finally had a chance to step out in faith towards what He had called me to do. Long story short, I applied for the internship and I was accepted! God is so good and He is faithful! I can’t even begin to tell you the impact that an internship at Red Rocks Church will have on my life. RRC is one of the fastest growing churches in the country! Everything we do as a church is about spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. We're a place that welcomes home prodigals; making heaven more crowded one person at a time. The internship starts August 23rd. It’s a full time, unpaid position at the church that lasts 9 months. One of the requirements of the internship is that I don’t work any other jobs at the same time. Because of this I will be in the position of relying on others to provide for my living expenses, as I will not be able to provide for myself during the internship. I have been saving as much money as I can from my current full time job in preparation. I ask that you please keep me in your prayers and would you also consider supporting me financially? I’m looking to raise around $7,500 in total. This will cover the bulk of my expenses over the 9 months including rent, car, food, gas, etc.
Where there is vision, there is also provision. I know that God will provide. I want to say thank you in advance for your prayers and for even considering supporting me financially. I am honored and privileged that God has granted me with this opportunity. I’m elated in anticipation of how God is going to grow me as a follower of Christ, teach me to be a leader for His church, and reveal to me how He wants to use me in the future for His Kingdom.
