My name is Shelbi Zernickow and I’m creating this go fund me account for my boyfriend Aaron Golay.

He is a very well known Musician all throughout Idaho for his love & passion for music. If you know Aaron you know just how much he travels and is on the road working and sharing his God given talent to others.

Aaron is a full time singer song writer and traveling musician, his many family, friends and fans mean everything to him.

Aaron was in a horrible car accident Sunday night October 8th where he was ejected from his car. He was Life Flighted to Eastern Idaho Medical Center here in Idaho Falls.

He has sustained many multiple serious injuries with the most concern of a Brain Bleed, a Fracture to his C7 in his neck, two Fractured Vertebrae in his back, a Broken Sternum, a broken right lower jaw and a fracture of his upper left jaw and some lacerations throughout his body.

The first biggest concern was his Brain and the bleeding, the neurological team here at EIRMC are doing everything they can to take care of Aaron. They have confirmed he does not need brain surgery at this time and the bleed will bruise and heal with time. The plan as of right now is to have surgery to his upper and lower jaw tomorrow or the next day to repair that as best as they can.

Aaron has had an MRI, multiple CTs and is currently in the ICU. I’m beyond relieved to share that Aaron can move, he’s coherent and responsive and if you know Aaron you know he has one of the biggest sense of humors around.

Throughout all of this his spirit is still shining and he’s cracking his silly jokes and giving the medical team a hard time like he normally would to anyone he comes across.

I am waiting for further information from the Neurologist, ENT and what the next few days will bring for Aaron.

With all of that said we are asking for any help at all as Aaron will be out of work for at least the next 8-12 weeks.

We are expecting a beautiful baby girl at the end of January 2024 and it’s safe to say we could use all of the support, love and help right now with the medical expenses including his life flight, hospital stay, bills, expenses and everything else to come.

I am so thankful to God that Aaron is still here with us. He is a fighter. He is stubborn and strong headed. He WILL get through this and I will be by his side through every step of this loving him with our family and friends.

This will be a very long road to recovery but if anyone is capable it’s Aaron.

I will update as best as I can, as of now we are waiting on results from the last CT scan and to hear from the Neurosurgeon and ENT surgeon to get a plan in place.

Aaron is the best man that I know, my best friend & father to our future baby girl.

He’s one of the strongest men I know, please pray for his healing, his injuries, the medical team taking care of him and for him to be watched over during this scary time.

He will get through this, he will be out there rocking on stage very very soon, I just know it.

Thank you to everyone who has already reached out and I’m sorry I haven’t been able to respond to most as I am giving Aaron my full attention right now.
