Aaron Wasser Recovery Fund

An extraordinary nurse needs extraordinary help. Aaron Wasser, BSN, RN is a 2021 alumnus of Temple University College of Public Health, Department of Nursing. During his four years at Temple Aaron was in his element by not only being a great student but also in giving back through multiple activities and organizations. He was a four-year member of the Temple chapter of the Student Nurse Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP), and the National Student Nurses' Association, serving as SNAP President in his senior year.  He was a peer tutor and a simulation laboratory assistant for two years helping fellow students hone their clinical skills.  He was a person all students felt comfortable going to for overall nursing school guidance.  At graduation, he was a multiple honoree thanks to his academic and social achievements. Most notably he was inducted into the Kappa Chi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society.  Aaron also was the College of Public Health Chair for Temple Student Government for two years and an undergraduate board representative for the College of Public Health for four years. After graduation, Aaron accepted a position at St Luke’s University Health Network where he worked the prior summer as a student nurse extern.  In the year the short year and a half since graduation Aaron was nominated for a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses (daisyfoundation.org).  In March, Aaron went to have his eyes examined thinking he needed glasses however he was instead diagnosed with a brain tumor.  Within a few short weeks, he was in surgery. Unfortunately,  the neurosurgeons could not remove the entire tumor and he will need radiation therapy and follow-up. Temple SNAP is raising money to help with the significant financial burden that cancer brings to help cover medical, travel, and recovery expenses.  Please consider donating to help Aaron who is much loved by so many within and outside of Temple University.
