Hello! My name is Brian Bubalo and I am fundraising for Aaron Toney. Aaron has ALS-amytrophic lateral sclerosis and has had it since 2012.

So why a GFM for Aaron? A doctor from the Mayo Clinic has recommended a medication for Aaron. It is Ibudilast. It is made in Japan and used around the world to extend the life of ALS patients by slowing the progress of the illness. His wife, Andrea, described it as possibly being a real "game changer" for them. However, it is not FDA approved, so it is not covered by insurance. It costs about $1100 for a supply of 1000 pills that will last about 83 days. 12 pills per day for 83 days. Everyday. This family is doing everything they can to support themselves and live productive, fulfilling lives together.  Aaron works 5 days/week at his business, Legendary Stone and Andrea works 5 days/week at the YMCA.  Addison and Ava are involved in school activities and Girl Scouts and volleyball and soccer and swimming.  And I know a lot of you reading this have been there for Aaron and his family. They did not ask me to do this. I asked them. This extra financial commitment will become a burden for them, but it does not need to be.  We can help.

I am praying for 52 people to give $11/month or $132/year.  After fees, that will provide $1100 every two months, so when they get near the end of their supply, they have time and money to make their next order. That is actually enough medicine for 498 days. The new medicine, Ibudilast, is the first priority for these funds. Please pray for the medicine to be effective for Aaron. Pray and consider being one of the 52. The team of 52 contributing $11/month is just an idea, a starting point or a goal.  It is one way it could be done.  But I will gratefully accept one time or recurring donations for more or less than $11, and I will not limit the team to 52 people. If this helps Aaron the way I hope it will, I will obviously need some long term commitments to this.  But right now , I just want to help them get through the first year. Join Aaron's team! Spread the word!

Thanks.

Brian
