Aaron Benson was born on January 3, 1991, in Dallas, Texas, to Nena Horsley and Floyd Benson. He is lovingly survived by his sisters, Cedreia Davis and Shavion Benson, his niece Janiyah Holmes, his adoptive brother and best friend Collin Glover, and many close friends who meant the world to him.
From the beginning, Aaron was a force —talented, driven, and destined to make an impact. At Cedar Hill High School, he was a standout football player, earning national recognition as a Prep All-American and widely respected as one of the best linebackers in Texas. He brought heart, intensity, and leadership to every game.
Aaron continued his football journey at the University of Texas, where he played linebacker for the Longhorns. Over three seasons, he contributed on special teams and defense in 14 games, earning respect from teammates and coaches alike and balancing his athletic efforts with academic achievement. Aaron graduated from the university of Texas at Austin in 2014 with his bachelors of science and applied learning and development.
More than his accomplishments on the field, Aaron was a boy, a brother, an uncle, and a loyal friend whose presence lit up every room. His love, his laughter, and his spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
We created this GoFundMe because our family was placed in an unexpected and overwhelming situation. After Aaron began experiencing health issues, his insurance provider dropped his policy, stating that it would only be reinstated if a large payment was made. This sudden decision left our Mom facing an impossible financial burden during an already devastating time.
No family should have to worry about insurance coverage or financial stress while navigating a medical crisis and grief. The funds raised will go directly toward covering these unexpected insurance costs and helping our family manage the expenses that followed.
We are deeply grateful for any support!! Whether through donations, sharing this page, or keeping our family in your prayers. Every bit of love and kindness truly means more than words can express.
