Aaron Saunders Family Memorial Fund

On Sunday, April 12th, the world lost a truly amazing soul. Aaron Saunders passed away after a courageous almost 2-year fight with cancer, leaving behind his wife Aba and their 3 boys (ages 14, 10, and 9). He celebrated his 40th birthday this past month.

Aaron was diagnosed in August 2018 with a multi-form Stage 4 Glioblastoma (malignant brain tumor). He underwent many exhausting rounds of chemo and radiation therapy, as well as two brain surgeries. Each step brought more challenges – he suffered a stroke in his second brain surgery, losing feeling on his left side. So while battling cancer, Aaron also had to take on the challenge of physical therapy to recover his motor skills, all while still working and providing for his family. Even with a terminal diagnosis, with Aba’s constant love and support, Aaron faced each new challenge with hope and determination to not let it get the best of him.

Aaron’s passions included his family, photography and the outdoors. He was in his element when he was on a river fly-fishing with his boys, hosting family Halloween parties, or setting up his camera for an epic nighttime star photo shoot. He was a genuinely funny, kind, caring, hardworking and devoted family man and friend. His family, friends and coworkers are devastated by our loss.

Battling cancer is not just a physical battle, but emotional and financial as well. So many friends have reached out, wanting to help, but unsure with the COVID-19 restrictions how they can best help. This is one way we all can still show our love for Aaron and his family.

We ask that you donate in honor of Aaron’s memory and to aid his family in such a devastating time, to help cushion the immediate financial blow to the family as well as helping with the adjustment from a 2-income household to a single-income household. We would greatly appreciate any and all generosity and support for the Saunders’ household, as well as your thoughts and prayers.

Transparency of funds

If you would like to make sure that ALL your donation will go directly to Aaron’s family (crowd-sourcing platforms charge a small percentage of funds earned, including GoFundMe), please consider sending your donation directly to Aba through Venmo at @Aba-Saunders. 100% of the donations through GoFundMe and Venmo will go to Aba to help fund his memorial arrangements as well as any household, medical or educational expenses.
