Support Aaron Perez's Brain Injury Treatment
Donation protected
We are deeply saddened to share that on August 10th our beloved partner, son, brother, friend, artist, and teacher, Aaron Perez suffered a ruptured aneurysm and subsequent bleeding in his brain. Over the last three weeks he has received lifesaving treatment in the Neurovascular Intensive Care Unit at UPMC Presbyterian. As we enter into the next phase of his treatment and recovery Aaron is in need of innovative therapies to provide him with the greatest opportunity for recovery.
Aaron is a young man, with a strong body who has undergone an catastrophic injury. Research of acquired brain injury treatment and recovery for someone of his age is still in its infancy and there are few institutions nationally that are available to support him through this challenging period. Aaron is continuing to fight each day and we are determined to secure out of the box thinking and cutting edge treatment for him going forward.
In addition to what insurance can cover, the doctors have advised significant outside costs related to alternative therapies, so we are asking for your support to make that possible. He has made significant strides since his initial bleed but the doctors foresee continued challenges ahead throughout his recovery.
The funds raised here will assist in Aaron’s long-term treatment and recovery. Any funds that remain unused will be donated to similar families in need or related charities.
