Aaron Macdonald's Perfect Day

Donativo protegido
In the early morning of June 26, the Macdonalds lost their star player, Aaron. Aaron Macdonald was one of four siblings, a twin brother, a son, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and a friend to all that came in contact with him.

Aaron's passing came as a shock to the entire Macdonald and Watt family. In the early hours of June 26 in the wake of his older brother's engagement party, Aaron collapsed and fell unconscious. Despite the best efforts taken by those present, Aaron remained unresponsive and passed away at Queensway Carleton Hospital later that morning. He was surrounded by the ones he loved.

Aarons's last day on June 25 is described as 'Aaron's Perfect Day'. It was a backyard party filled with his favourite people surrounding him with love. He got to dance, sing on the microphone, eat good food, give a speech, jump in the pool with his cousins and laugh around a fire. This day was something Aaron had looked forward to for months and we are all so grateful he got to have the best last day on this earth.

Aaron died as a master teacher. He taught everyone that he met that the only thing that matters in this world is one another. Aaron's gift of connection will live for generations to come. Whether he called you to say hi, told you he missed you, or planned a future lunch date. He just wanted to hear your voice and let you know he was thinking of you.

Aaron was heavily involved in various organizations for kids and adults with mental disabilities in the Ottawa area. He was in the care of Main Street Community Services, played on the Capital City Condors Hockey team, met lifelong friends at Sonshine Families and learned life skills at Share Community Program. These not-for-profits shaped Aaron and his brother Taylor and helped provide a meaningful life for thousands of kids like them.

The Macdonald Family would like to donate in Aarons's memory to these four organizations that meant so much to Aaron.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the Ottawa area on July 9. Details to follow.

Thank you for holding us in your prayers.

Darlene, Bruce, Kevin, Charlotte, Greg, Babar, Taylor, Kaylee and Lexy.
