Hi, I am trying to raise funds for Aaron who is a Para-athlete to attend the Virtus Global Games in Vichy, France, in June 2023. Aaron will compete in the athletics team, running 1500m and 5000m. Aaron was crowned the 2022 Virtus Oceania Asia Champion after winning the 5000m in Brisbane in November of last year, and also won a bronze medal in the 1500m. After winning the Australian u20 para Cross Country championship in August last year he travelled to Sandiego, California last November to compete in the Virtus World Cross Country. He also achieved a ranking of number one in the world for his classification in the u20 men's 1500m and 5000m from the World Para Athletics organisation. Aaron has been running middle to long distance and cross country since he was 14 and now has the opportunity to run overseas in a world event in athletics for the first time. This latest select for France will see him in the green and gold for the 3rd time in less than 12 months.

Aaron needs financial assistance with the upcoming trip expenses after such a busy year. Aaron self-funds his expenses with part time work and raising goats, but this is not enough to fund the costs of these major competitions and pathway to qualify for the Paris Paralympics in 2024. Aaron is dedicated to distance running and trains six days weekly, running up to 80km a week.
