On Monday morning, our usually quiet little town if Noxon,MT was rattled by an explosion around 7am. Our emergency services are volunteer based and include local community members who promptly responded to a house fire. After arriving on scene volunteers began accessing the situation and setting up their firefighting equipment. What these crews were unaware of was the supply of ammunition and reloading supplies that were stored in shipping containers on the property. About an hour after the first explosion, another explosion rocked the town, severely injuring one of our voulenteer firefighters. Our volunteer based ambulance service was able to render aid and call in a lifeflight helicopter take him to Courdelane. Upon arrival Aaron was still conscious and able to provide medical history. He was then sedated and placed on a ventilator incase his airways began to swell shut. They were able to stabilize him and then fly him to the Harborview Burn Unit in Seattle. Aaron suffered extensive burns to his upper body and will have a long road to recovery with many months spent away from home. It is my hope we can come together and help ease some of the burden and help with the expense of having a family member with him on this long road ahead....
