As some of you may know, Aaron was unexpectedly diagnosed with what we think is nasopharyngeal lymphoma, a type of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. After reviewing the PET scan with the Oncologist, he plans to treat it aggressively with inpatient chemotherapy. Aaron underwent surgery for a biopsy on March 7th and has an appointment with the Oncologist on March 14th to discuss the results. Hopefully we will have a definitive prognosis and move forward with treatment immediately. The Oncologist mentioned at least 6 months of treatment, but this was said after only seeing the PET scan. We will keep everyone updated after the appointment on March 14th. As of right now we are expecting him to be a direct admit on that day to begin chemo. Several co-workers and friends have asked what they can do to help him out in this time of need while he will be going through treatment. Aaron will most likely not be able to work due to the aggressive treatment and he has already missed several days of work from testing and surgery.
