Aaron Baldwin, Jr

Hello, my name is Erika Russo, Secretary at the New London Lodge of Elks #360. I am writing on behalf of Aaron Baldwin Sr, a long-time resident of New London. Sadly, he tragically lost his only son, Aaron Jr, age 27, on February 22, 2024, in a car accident in which he was a rear seat passenger. Aaron Jr leaves behind his two young children, Josiah and Ayvian, as well as his loving father, many close family members, and friends to mourn his passing. Aaron Sr and his son were a close-knit family, having lost his wife/mother to cancer several years ago, and his Uncle Dwight Baldwin "The Professor," last year.

Aaron Sr and his son were part of the New London Little League and Babe Ruth organizations when he was younger, and his father volunteered as a coach. Aaron Sr is a member, and Past Exalted Ruler, of the New London Elks. Aaron Jr could often be found at the New London Elks helping his father give back to the community.

When a young adult passes unexpectedly, often there are no preparations pre-made. This is the case for Aaron Jr. On top of the heartbreak that Aaron Sr is now facing, he has to deal with the challenge of having to figure out how to say goodbye to his son properly. It was at this point I realized that he was going to need help from the community he loves and has supported for years. I am hoping that you will be able to donate at his time of need. The average cost of a funeral is between $7,000 and $10,000, and this doesn't include cost of any marker, cemetery fees, etc. The total amount of money needed becomes quickly staggering and can feel like a big weight during a time that is already so overwhelming.

It can be scary to put yourself and your loved ones out there asking for help so I am creating this Go Fund Me for Aaron Sr to hopefully get some financial to help with the necessary costs allowing him to give his son a proper burial. Erika Russo
