Hi, our names are Harry Thiessen and Allison Baker-Thiessen owners of Nutimik Lodge. We are here today asking for the community to come together to help raise funds for the devesting situation and help the family with some of the funeral expenses. On July 18th at 12:20 P.M. a situation happened involving two brothers Aaron age 13 and Maximo age 10 at Sturgeon Falls, Nutimik lake in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. The Lac Du Bonnet RCMP, Manitoba Conservation, Manitoba Parks and ourself received a possible drowning near sturgeon falls, Emergency teams all quickly responded and are searching for the bodies of 2 young boys. Alongside several community members. The Manitoba RCMP contacted both their recovery team and the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team and are working countless hours trying to bring closure to this family. With the Kevin Howie Memorial Fund and all the staff at Nutimik Lodge we are able to have a place for the family to stay and have privacy while the search team continues their search.
