Hello my name is Donna, I’m reaching out on behalf of my friends Aaron and Mel, who are facing an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking situation.

On Easter Sunday, their home in Hamilton was destroyed by a devastating fire, and they lost everything they owned. Due to financial hardship, they did not have insurance.

This tragedy comes just 8 months after Mel lost her child — a loss she is still grieving every day. No one should have to endure this much pain and hardship in such a short time.

Since the fire, they’ve been forced to stay with family out of town because there were no available accommodations at this time. To make matters even more difficult, their only vehicle broke down weeks ago, leaving Aaron unable to get to work in Hamilton.

Right now, they are starting over from nothing. They need help securing a place to live, including first and last month’s rent, as well as basic necessities like furniture, clothing, and supplies for themselves and their two dogs.
