Dear Family and Friends,


On July 7-12, I will join my dad and six climbers from Climb 2 Recovery  and The Victoria Cross & George Cross Association to climb within the Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.

The purpose of the trip is to increase support amongst the veterans who have all endured significant physical and mental hardships during their military service. Through the tremendous psychological and physical benefits of climbing and mountaineering, we will help them to continue to grow in their post-service life.

Climb 2 Recovery (www.C2R.org) is a charity which works closely with The RMA – Royal Marines Charity. Most of their members have complex medical conditions, including amputations and severe psychological injuries, but all have found climbing and the outdoors to be of tremendous therapeutic benefit.  

My target is to raise £10,000.  The full cost of the Climb (>£10,000) has been fully sponsored by The Patron Charitable Initiatives, so all money raised will go to directly supporting this very important cause of helping those who have served and made great sacrifices on our behalf.
