Aaron and Carrie in the Hospital in Portland

Donation protected
UPDATE 10/1/2023
Carrie has had a couple of relatively good days. She has managed to keep a few bites of food down and is tolerating her feeding tube. Her determination to try to do everything herself before allowing us to support her is very encouraging. At this time she is still requiring 24 hour care and due to the hospital’s Covid protocols she will be in Portland at a minimum of 10 more days. Doctors are still testing to determine a root cause of her illness but have been stumped thus far. When she is not resting, she has managed to keep a very positive attitude. Aaron continues to be at her side and is taking an active roll in helping with her day to day care. They still have a very long road ahead of them and being so far away from home is taking its toll.

We’d like to thank everyone again for their generosity and pass along not only Dad’s thanks but Carrie as well. We were able to read the donation list to her and she was humbled that so many would volunteer to help. She is more than thankful to all of you!

Please continue to share our fundraiser if you can. Donations are going directly to Aaron and Carrie to help support them during this difficult time.

Thank you to all!

UPDATE 09/28/2023:
First, we would like to send our heartfelt thank you to all who have donated to help Aaron and Carrie during this difficult time. Aaron is left speechless every time someone donates and he wanted us to ensure that we express how thankful he is for the support of friends and family!

Carrie will remain in Portland, at a minimum, through the weekend while they continue testing and care for her. She tested positive for Covid on Wednesday morning and while she has not shown any symptoms yet, the positive test delayed some of the testing and treatment. Aaron and Carrie have a long road ahead of them and Aaron will continue to be by her side in Portland. Any amount will help support them while they determine the next steps.

Again, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for your generous support. Your contributions have already began to help ease the burden on them and enable them to focus on getting well.

Thanks!
Chris, Tyler, Gem, Steph, Teaona, and Amanda

As some of you may know, Carrie’s health has not been the best over the past year or so. On Sunday her condition deteriorated rapidly and she was transported to a medical center in Portland via Ambulance. Her Husband, Aaron Wilson is in Portland by her side. He has missed a fair amount of work while he has cared for her over the last year and we learned today that she will most likely be in the hospital in Portland for the immediate future. While they have insurance, there are the mounting costs of having to exist away from home in Portland while Carrie receives diagnosis and care. We are attempting to raise a fund to help cover the cost of travel, food, and expenses along with getting Aaron a hotel room so he is not forced to sleep in his car. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Any money raised will go directly to Aaron and Carrie to help them through this very difficult time. Pray for us as Mom fights to get better.
Thank you,
Chris, Tyler, Gem, Steph, Teaona, and Amanda
