Hello Friends and Family!

 Aaron is my nephew and I am asking for your help to pay for medical bills and other expenses that have incurred these past 8 years. What ever you can afford will be appreciated.
He has had 3 surgeries.  
The first was done with him being awake and lasted 5 1/2 hours...     Surgeons cut out 95% of the tumor.  He was up and learning to walk in 24 hours.
During surgery they removed a lot of his ability to  feel any thing in his left leg and has to look at his leg when trying to coordinate where his foot is going.  The first few years he was monitored every six months.
The family then moved from Hawaii to Washington to help care for Emily's ailing father.   They lost their insurance, and he missed an MRI due to hefty medical bills.  He then had a seizure that would not stop.
Doctors put him on more anti-seizure medications, which did not stop the seizure. 
They consulted more specialists.
He needed a second surgery as his tumor had changed.
After surgery, they did six weeks of radiation five days a week.
Then a combination of an oral chemo agent and immunotherapy IV.  That was done for a year, but the tumor changed and regrew again.
A third brain surgery.
They then stopped the immunotherapy and followed up with ten doses of a more localized intense radiation.. This severely weakened the control of his left arm.
   
Because of Covid they shut down on the research of drugs they could have tried.
Because of Covid, facilities were shut down so Aaron was not able to do his swimming to maintain the strength on his left side.
This has affected his ability to walk, dress himself and he requires full time help. 
Emily, Dante and Matilda have done a wonderful job caring for him.
 Oscar and Harvey  (their dog) have done their share also.
Aaron is a father of 2..  Matilda..age 13
                                                     Oscar..age 5
And is stepfather of 2 ....Dante age 19 
                                                             Saraphina was 7 yrs old when she passed from cerebral  palsy complications. She would have been 16 years old now.
  Aaron turned 38 in March...


Since Aaron and Emily live in a different state than their family we are not able to help physically which is why I decided to do a Go Fund Me to help with medical bills, and necessities that Aaron needs. Since the second resection done in 2019 the tumor was categorized as Glioblastoma multiform...

Only5% make it to 5 years.  Most don't make it to 2 years.  Aaron has made it to 8 years. We are thankful for every day we have him...
