Tayden Ybarra was born May 29, 2008. She is very bubbly and full of personality. She loves being in the spotlight! She loves playing with her Barbie’s and having tea. She loves giving out hugs and is very curious about everything. She is a big Justin Bieber fan and the Bratz dolls. She enjoys dressing up even if it’s just to go to the grocery store. Her American Girl doll is always by her side wherever she goes! She has been fully in the care of her grandparents, Benito and Tammy Ybarra, since birth.
At the tender age of five, Tayden had been having eyesight trouble. In November of 2013, things took a turn for the worst. The doctors discovered that Tayden had no circulation to her optical nerve. Shortly after, Tayden underwent an MRI where they found three tumors on her brain and she was then diagnosed with inoperable Brain Cancer.Tayden spent a month in Texas Children’s Hospital where she is currently under chemotherapy once a week for 8hours. When she is older, she will begin radiation treatments. They are treating her cancer very aggressively. She is vision impaired and uses her peripheral vision to see.
Tayden will be undergoing surgery on October 9, 2014 to remove the chemotherapy pump. She was getting chemotherapy through it , but now no more chemotherapy because her body started rejecting and having negative reactions to chemotherapy. Anymore chemotherapy would be fatal.  Now we must wait for the cancer to grow or blindness and then radiation will start.
