Asian American and Pacific Islander ("AAPI") Heritage Month is the month of May dedicated to recognize the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. Amid the recent disturbing waves of Anti-Asian violence, AAPI Community in Millburn-Short Hills feels particularly grateful for the loving and inclusive environment the Glenwood School has established for our children. In today's increasingly diverse and multicultural society, it's more important than ever to incorporate diversity and cultural awareness in the classrooms.
In honor of the AAPI Heritage Month and to promote cultural diversity in Short Hills, the AAPI Community in Glenwood is raising funds to donate AAPI-themed books to our beloved Glenwood School. Our goal is to raise $2,800 to purchase 185 books. Each classroom will receive five books and the remainder will go to the school library.
