Aaliyah's Fund

As some of you may already know, last September my 7 year old niece was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumour called a ganglioglioma. This was found through a routine opticians appointment. This was a big shock to us all as Aaliyah is very healthy and has no symptoms other than a slight blurred vision in her left eye which we didn’t notice until the optician told us.

Aaliyah has been very lucky as we were able to monitor her tumour without treatment, as it is a low grade and has been stable since her diagnosis. Unfortunately her recent scans has shown slight increase in size, which means she will have to start treatment, this will either be a standard chemo or a possible trial at great Ormand street.

We are constantly researching new natural therapies and medicine which as some of you will know can be expensive. These treatments could be very beneficial to her health.

So we are asking for help for money towards Aaliyah’s natural therapies and days out for her. Hospital life has taken its toll on Aaliyah and has caused her anxiety, we want to do as much as we can to keep her mind off things and to just let her enjoy being a child.
