Aaliyah is only 14 years old and is in fight for her life to beat Cancer.
Your help can make the difference between life and death.
On October 27, 2017, just as she was celebrating her 14th birthday, Aaliyah was rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. During this procedure, doctors discovered a suspicious lump in her abdomen which was later determined to be a malignant tumor in her right ovary.
The diagnosis was heart breaking: Stage 1C Ovarian Cancer also known as Papillary Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. The tumor was successfully removed but as the cancer is severely aggressive, doctors unanimously recommended chemotherapy in the hopes of helping Aaliyah survive the growth at such a young age. This being said she has to stop school which broke her and the family's heart.

In January 2018, Aaliyah began chemotherapy to stem the cancer but devastating complications arose. Aaliyah had severe allergic reactions to the treatment which made it difficult for her to breath and as a result, the chemotherapy round was unsuccessful. Under the guidance of her oncologist and allergologist, a new course of chemotherapy was set in mid-April 2018 and Aaliyah was able to get through the first phase of the treatment.
Now Aaliyah and her family face yet another challenge. The cancer has maxed out the health care coverage available to Aaliyah, and with no additional coverage and minimal subsidies her family cannot afford all the treatments, Aaliyah has had to rely heavily on the help of friends and extended family to get treatment she's had so far.
Now, she has to rely on the kindness of strangers and future friends. Please help Aaliyah win the war against cancer.
Any amount is truly welcome.
To continue chemotherapy, Aaliyah and her family hope to raise the amount of CAD$20,000.00
This covers the following:
Chemotherapy - CAD$9,000.00
Confinement/Doctors -CAD$7,700
Laboratories Tests - CAD$3,000
Oral Meds-CAD$110.00
