Aaliyah K. Cross

My name is Alicia and I have created this GoFundMe page to help pay for my sister Aaliyah Cross’s funeral expenses and in support of her five children who are suddenly left without a mother. Aaliyah gave birth to her beautiful and healthy fifth child two weeks ago, then on January 13, 2024, she suddenly suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and passed away. 

We desperately need money to buy baby formula (she was breastfeeding), food, continued support, transportation assistance for all her children (we don’t own a car), and her immediate funeral expenses. 

My mother, myself, and my other siblings live in Maryland, and Aaliyah and her children (ages 10, 8, 6, 3, and newborn) live in Virginia Beach. My mother was in VA Beach to meet her new grandchild and help Aaliyah when she suffered a cardiac arrest and passed.

Our family has gathered in VA Beach now, and we are trying to make the funeral arrangements, work through possible custody plans, review housing costs, and other expenses for all the children, and we are simply trying to survive our grief and this tremendous loss.

Aaliyah was a wonderful, beautiful hardworking, and devoted mother who loved her children beyond compare. I pray, with the grace of God, that we can get through this terrible time, and that we can continue to support and raise her children with her strength and love. Right now, I am not sure how we are going to accomplish these goals and get through these very dark days.
