AAH Bereavement Suite in memory of Henry Gray

Myself and Harry are doing a fundraiser to help raise money to help with the Construction of a Bereavement Suite in Antrim Area Hospital in memory of our precious Baby Henry Gray.

On 19th May 2022 I attended a routine 35week checkup where I received the heartbreaking news that our Baby had died. During the days that followed we were taken to Antrim Area Hospital, where I would deliver our baby. I was taken to the labour ward where I was surrounded by so many other women going through the happiest time in their lives, and yet, we were going through the worst in ours.

Henry Gray was born on 23rd May 2022 at 00.35am, ten fingers, ten toes - and a perfect button nose. To us, he was just perfect.

The addition of a Bereavement Suite will help so many women who suffer the pain of baby loss at any stage of their pregnancy. 

Some of the money raised will be used to buy a cool cot, without this particular piece of equipment, we would not have been able to have the precious time we had with Henry, and this allowed our families to meet him.

The pain of what we have been through cannot be described, but raising funds for this extremely worthy cause helps lighten that pain, and knowing that we will be able to help someone else that could be in our position is comforting in some way to us.

We will be having a fundraising night in Regans Bar (The Market Inn Draperstown) on Friday 25th November from 8pm, with Live Music on the night and £10 Admission at the door.
