Help Bring a Pirate's Tale to Life

"A Man Fate Forgot" is a tale of redemption, that if one can see through tragedy and loss, the gift of purpose, selflessness, and gratitude is on the other side of suffering. Condemned, crippled, and callous, we find Ed doing the only thing a disabled pirate can do, which is drink his life away. Once a legendary pirate captain, Ed was thought dead after he lost his crew, title, and sense of self. When chance came fleeing to him in the form of an escaped slave, Regina offered an opportunity for him not only to serve justice to the very person responsible for his demise but also to free him of his paralyzed prison. Ed's survivor's guilt prevents him from taking this chance at first, but after confronting his own failure, he sees a second chance in Regina. By forfeiting his life, he gains redemption for himself, justice for his fallen crew, and gifting Regina her freedom and the idea that she should be a pirate.
