2 Year Anniversary Flood Fundraiser
As you may well know, our community just had the 2nd anniversary of the devastating Memorial Day Flood. Our non-profit organization, Blanco River Regional Recovery Team (BR3T), has assisted over 1000 families so far to date. We are making real change for families; that being said there are still about 200 families searching for relief.
We have begun a business fundraiser, respectfully requesting monetary donations from businesses that serve the affected communities (We serve Hays, Blanco, Caldwell, and Guadalupe counties). We believe in the circle of giving, and we do hope that the flurishing businesses of our area can help contribute so we can help all our neighbors. Individuals or families are also open to make a tax-deductible donation.
Our fundraiser has been adopted and recognized by San Marcos Chamber of Commerce to amplify our goals. The Rotary Club of San Marcos has even offered to match all donations up to $13,000!
Recognition will be shown to the businesses and organizations that are able to contribute in the Wimberley View & San Marcos Daily Record, as a tribute to giving back.
All donations go directly to building materials. Monetary donations are tax-deductible; our tax ID is: 47-4930663
In conclusion I want to say to all the families still hoping and waiting for relief, we are an organization dedicated to assisting you. Long term recovery can be stressful but are working hard to take that burden off your back. We will continue to advocate for disaster survivors.
