Friends, thanks for your interest in helping. I just spoke to Bill. I had no idea what he's been through the last few years, and I have his permission to share it with you. He fought a battle with cancer and is currently cancer-free. He had heart surgery. In the process he was unable to pay his bills and 'lost everything'. He was homeless for three-and-a-half years. He lives on Social Security and Disabilty, which stopped funding his prescriptions. Baby-sitting his four grand-daughters brings him joy. He does not own a car and must take the bus to get around. He became emotional when I asked him if it was okay to raise some funds to help him out, said he did not expect anything and was honored by the idea.
We discussed the idea that it might not raise enough to pay for a decent car, but he said that he could use it for a down-payment.
The account will be set up with Bill as the recipient of all funds, except for the 7.9% that the site keeps Please watch for a link or message from me with information on how to donate.
