Help Kaylee walk again



  Hi everyone, I am fundraising for my daughter Kaylee. She was an able bodied 23 yr old young woman with Autism until May 21, 2021 when she collapsed at home due to changes of many medications that began in Feb 2021. 

  She was admitted to North Naples Community Hospital. She stopped breathing in my presence twice on the evening of May 31. June 1st she was in ICU with brain swelling (Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome) and weeks later diagnosed with Guillaine Barre Syndrome. 

  She and I have spent 175 days in 4 hospitals. Due to her Autism, Kaylee could not be left alone during her hospital stays.The last was Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami at the rate $12,500 per week. Insurance covered two weeks, and with the help of financial support from 2 friends, and my savings account, we were able to continue with her life changing physical therapy for two additional weeks.  I am a single mother self employed as a massage therapist who, like many others, have been unable to work during Covid. She has suffered profound damage to her physical state.  Her body and vision will require months, if not years, to be rehabilitated to her prior condition.  Will she remain bedridden and unable to feed herself or relearn the ability to stand, walk and use her hands again?  It’s difficult for me to ask for help from people I don’t know, but my daughter’s quality of life is at stake.
