As many of you know, Kris and I have been ready to have a baby for a long time. We saved up enough money to start the process and had our first appointment in February of 2018. After many attempts and MANY more appointments, we finally found out December 31st, 2018 that we were pregnant! We were over the moon that we were going to have the chance to bring a baby into this world.
Everything was going great. We had just told our close family and friends that we were expecting when we went in for our 14 week appointment and received the horrible news that the doctor could not find our baby's heart beat. We had lost the baby.
We were devastated.
We planted a Magnolia Tree and a few perennial flowers in the yard in memory of our baby and shed many tears with the support of each other and our friends and family.
After some medical procedures and time to heal, we have started trying to get pregnant again, but we have hit a road block.
In the last year and a half we have spent $32,000 to try to become parents. We have no funds left to continue the journey to parenthood.
To move forward in our journey, there is an additional estimated $25,000 for IVF procedures and medications.
Before we lost the baby, we chose to keep our journey private. Now, due to our circumstances and with the suggestion of friends and family, we are opening up, sharing our story and asking for help.
