Help The Oates Family
Donation protected
On Sunday, March 13, 2022, Emily Oates traveled alone on her way home when weather conditions caused a head-on collision with a box truck. She was trapped in the vehicle until first responders arrived to cut her free and get her to the hospital, where she received surgery for her broken femurs. It is a miracle that Emily survived this horrific car accident. She is currently in the ICU receiving treatment for 3 broken ribs, a fractured clavicle, a broken sternum, and multiple breaks in her legs, including 2 broken femurs that now have rods in them to hold them together. She has a very long road to recovery with more surgeries to come, plus physical therapy. Friends and family will be doing all we can to assist with meals and taking care of the boys, but it is difficult as all family is 5+ hours away. We ask anyone able and willing to assist wherever they can to help lighten the load for Trevor and Emily as they navigate the upcoming months. A meal train has been set up for those who feel led to help in that area. This GoFundMe account will help pay for additional meals, travel expenses, medical expenses/deductibles/co-pays, and whatever else Trevor and Emily may need over the next few months as they navigate this long road to recovery. If you cannot share a meal or donate to their relief, please consider sharing the fundraiser information, but most of all, pray. Pray for more miracles as Emily recovers and pray for the emotional and physical hardship she has been and will be enduring.
