This GoFund Me page is for the Cabrera Family to offset medical bills and temporary loss of employment.

On October 5, Raul Cabrera, my brother-in-law, was a victim of an assault at a market in Pacoima that nearly took his life.  The details of what happened are still under investigation; however, Raul suffered a fractured skull which required emergency surgery to relieve pressure in the brain and remove blood clots.  He has been hospitalized since the day of the attack.  The neurosurgeon has informed the family that he will need a follow-up surgery.

Raul will need physical and speech therapy and will need to go to a rehabilitation center to recuperate before being able to come home to the loving arms of his family.

Raul is known by many for his generosity and unwavering willingness to help others in anyway he can.  He is a beloved family man who has been married to Coco for 33 years.  Together they have raised three wonderful daughters, and are proud dog parents to Ginger.

Raul is the sole provider for his family.  He is a general contractor and has been in business for the past 30 years.  Due to lack of medical insurance, there is no telling how much his medical costs may be but we hope to raise enough to help ease the family's burden while they focus on Raul's recovery. 

Recovery will be a long process during which time he will not be able to provide for his family and so we are asking for your support during these hard times.  Any little amount will be greatly appreciated.  If you cannot donate, your prayers for Raul and his family and sharing the page with others will be greatly appreciated.
