School Computer Lab

With an ever growing world of technology, it is important to help our students and future leaders become prepared for real life. A computer lab is an important asset to an elementary school in many ways. Kids typing skills will be enhanced; technology can be incorporated with each subject for advanced learning and remediation, and it will provide a vast collection of resources for the students and teachers. Research has shown that technology and technology based programs help to enrich a student’s learning process. With a computer lab in place, teachers will have the opportunity to ensure a more productive and more confident learning environment. When students are empowered to take hold of their education, they will be more willing to strive to enhance their learning. Our specific students will be able to use this computer lab under a classroom teacher’s supervision. The programs that are accessed will be educational and will give students the chance to learn at their individual level. Students will receive immediate feedback on their performance and be given remediation when necessary. The lab setting will allow teachers to pull small groups of students for direct instruction on skills they may be struggling with, while the other students are able to progress on a meaningful task suitable for their needs.
