My name is Vincent Dang, and on March 18th, I was officially diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. For those unaware, this disorder/disease renders me dependent on blood transfusions to survive, as my bone marrow can no longer produce proper red and white cells, as well as platelets. Recently, my doctors found some Cancer in my thyroid as well. At the age of 20, I dropped out of University due to the overwhelming changes in my energy, physical health, and overall well-being. My parents have been the greatest support system throughout this, taking unpaid time off from their business and office work to take care of me. The sad part is that it has been a financial strain, as going with me to the hospital and attending appointments does not cover the bills. Not to mention, the healthcare system does not pay for all the medication I need in the future, and it can get rather expensive. I do not want to become a burden for my hardworking immigrant parents, and I need your help. Anything is greatly appreciated!
