Calling all of Wendi's Warriors,
I am writing to you on behalf of our friend and colleague Wendi Smith. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and has recently had multiple setbacks as the disease is progressing. The doctors would like to put her on a newer medication and the insurance companies are refusing to pay for it. Wendi has hit multiple road blocks over the last few months and can really use our help and support.
Prior to knowing she was pregnant she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Since being diagnosed the disease has rapidly progressed. She has needed several medical interventions and often finds herself without the energy to even walk steps.
Wendi is a nursing instructor, she is an amazing pediatric nurse, and she is a single mother of an awesome 8-year-old but had to take a leave of absence from teaching. With that having to happen she needed to take a loan out to survive and provide for herself and son. She is continuing to seek treatment and gain strength.
Wendi is always a ray of sunshine despite the hard times she is going through. She has always been there for everyone else to support and shed guidance if needed.
Any Donations are Greatly Appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
Marni Segal and Friends
