Emergency Moving Expenses

We're Bryan and Ashton, father and son team living on Big Island Hawaii facing an emergency move and transition by the end of the month.

We're raising money to move, and if we can raise enough money, we are planning to end the rental cycle by utilizing these funds to purchase land and live off-grid.

The money will be used to show the seller that we are serious in our intention and effort to purchase. $10,000 is either 10% of a $100,000 dollar land parcel, or 20% of a $50,000 land parcel. With this amount of money it is highly-likely that we can make a land purchase agreement happen.

Originally, we had until February 1st to make these arrangements, but the owners changed their mind to the end of November. We have about 2 weeks.

This means so much to us because we see how your donation can end the cycle of us "finding home." It's also very meaningful because we plan to build community which is single-parent and family-friendly and will provide some safe-harbor temporary shelter for folks in transition like we are. Your donation will be evergreen.

It's a big commitment to live off-grid, and although many are inspired by the ideal, there is the harsh reality and difficulty of making it happen. There are real challenges to living off-grid every day. It's very primal and raw; there are lots of insects, weeds, hard land, rain, wind, and humidity. It's intense in its exposure.

We have lived here for over 3 years and have direct experience. We are willing to do what it takes and have built up enough courage and living experience to face it well informed. We need some funds to help make it happen and pay the admission fee for our father and son adventure.

Ashton adds that he is very good at Minecraft.

We'll be very grateful to experience real-life Minecraft together.
