Christy Nash has been with the Lawrence Companies family for just over two years and is a Driver Onboarding Specialist. Christy and her husband Michael Nash are expecting their first child due this month. Christy's two sisters Brittany Kay Huddleston & Shari Nicole Branin have suddenly passed away this week and we want to be able to give everyone the opportunity to donate to assist the family during this difficult time with any expenses that may be needed.


Brittany Kay Huddleston, 36, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Monday, August 8th, 2022. Brittany was born on February 16, 1986. She graduated from Cave Spring High School in 2004 with outstanding honors and a full scholarship to Longwood University where she studied business management and graduated with her degree in 2008. Brittany worked hard for all her accomplishments both academically and in tennis. She was known in the valley as an all-star competitor earning three times All Timesland & All-District Player of the Year. She was a Virginia Commonwealth gold medalist for several years and became Virginia State Champion her senior year. She is predeceased by grandmothers and uncles and is survived by her children, mother, two younger sisters, aunt, several uncles, cousins, as well as many loved ones. She was a friend to all who knew her.

A private celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be for a scholarship fund for Brittany’s children. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the team members of the 8th floor ICU at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Shari Nicole Branin, 32, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 11th, 2022.

Shari was born on May 7th, 1990. She graduated from Glenvar High School in 2008 and was in the BSN program at Jefferson College of Health Sciences. Shari worked hard for all of her accomplishments both academically and in tennis. She loved working with children, reading, writing, family activities, football, music, concerts, and road trips. She loved her nephew Ryan more than anything and cherished every moment they had together.

She is preceded in death by her sister, grandmothers, and uncles.

She is survived by her mother, Marie Thornton; sister, Christy Nash; special nephew, Ryan; aunt, uncles, cousins, and many loved ones.

She was loved by all that knew her and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 20th, at 1 p.m. at the Covenant Community Church located at 955 Bird Lane, Salem, VA 24153.
