JOE BARTOS Beloved Tennis Pro (Still) Needs Help

Joe Bartos, our dear friend and local Naples, FL tennis pro, suffered a disabling stroke on Christmas Day 2022. He is the Director of Tennis at Tiburon Naples Golf and Tennis. The stroke left him paralyzed, hospitalized, unable to work and facing months of rehabilitation. Family and friends stepped in, and thanks to the generosity of donors to this fundraiser, Joe has been able to afford and continue rigorous physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. His progress has amazed everyone. But Joe still needs our help!

Joe still suffers partial paralysis, requires some surgery, and must continue physical therapy to restore the use of his left arm and hand. Without our help, Joe's insurance limitations will hinder his recovery. Let's keep Joe's recovery on a steady course and help him get back to work and on with life.

...Joe Bartos is a tennis professional who brings nearly 40 years of high-level tennis playing and coaching experience. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, now residing in Naples, FL, he began his tennis career as a top-ranked Junior, then completed four very successful years of varsity Intercollegiate play; and began training and managing the tennis facilities of some of the biggest names in tennis, including world champions Vitas Gerulaites, Fred Stolle, and Roy Emerson. Joe's passion and knowledge of the sport are complemented by an artful coaching style that brings out the best game in the youthful and mature beginner, seasoned player, and all levels in between. His team coaching is highly prized for its blend of tennis strategy, court awareness, and teamwork drills and exercises.
