Hi my name is Zara, I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my son & family.

Since August 2023, Jaxon has had regular treatment with specialist Orthopaedic and

Infectious Diseases teams at the Women's and Children's Hospital for a severe infection of

his Left Tibia (Shin bone).

This severe infection, completely eroded through the top of Jaxon's shin bone. Over the last

2 years of treatment, the bone has been stabilised for 6 months with a metal circular

frame (penetrating his skin), followed by >15 months of casting and splinting, x9 surgeries

and many months of daily antibiotic medicine.

Enormous resources have gone into treating Jaxon's infection, to prevent re-fracture and

hope of a functional limb. His family have worked consistently to prevent him walking on it

for 12 months, no easy talk in a young child with developmental delays. They have met the

difficult demands of his treatment, disadvantaged by geographical and socioeconomic

constraints, and having spent months in Adelaide with his leaving behind his family, home and kindy

having to still pay for our rent and other bills back home, any donations are appreciated even if it’s only $1 it still counts

we are waiting on a date and time for the 10th surgery that will be put down as emergency
