Help Deborah Rebuild After Fire Loss
Donation protected
Today, I went to the grocery store and as I was leaving, I heard a familiar voice. It was a special voice that I hadn't heard in a while but it stopped me in my tracks. It was my dear friend and colleague from MLK, Deborah Broyles. I knew she lived in the area and I have often wondered how she was doing. As we talked she was caring for her grandson and she shared with me that on March 4, her family home of many years burned to the ground. As always, she maintained a strong demeanor. I could tell that she was struggling to stay positive and clinging to her family and faith. The fire destroyed not only her home but her vehicles.
When I worked with Deborah, we called her kids "Broyles babies" because they all loved her so much. I'm in the process of determining a plan to help but I want to make the MLK family aware of what's happening. Even if it is a greeting or a prayer, please don't hesitate to reach out.
