Hello everyone,
I am Ian's common-in-law spouse and the mother of 2 of his 10 children and have been together for 26 years.
Unfortunately, he passed suddenly on August 22nd at the age of 53. He was admitted to the hospital two weeks before and came in with pancreatitis. He spent two weeks in the hospital on painkillers, bloodthinners and an IV drip while doctors did test after test to figure out what was wrong as his condition worsened with each coming day, forcing him to spend his 53'rd birthday in the hospital.
As his condition worsened, fluid built up in his abdomen and doctors had to do a procedure to drain the fluid. That was August 15th the day before his birthday. After the procedure his blood pressure was showing to be high and not changing so doctors moved him to the ICU so that he can be closely monitored incase of cardiac arrest or any other issues that could arise. 6 days later on August 21st the doctors gave us the unfortunate news that Ian has terminal pancreatic cancer with only less than two weeks to live. That same day I called friends and family to come and see him because we were not sure if he was going to make it to the end of the week as his breathing was shortening.
Tragically, he did not make it even 24 hrs from when we found out and passed away the next morning on August 22nd around 8am.
Ian was a good person and very humble and was always giving back to the community when homeless people were in need of some kind of help.
Since his death was so sudden and unplanned, we began urgently setting up for his funeral so that we can lay him to rest. Between finding the money to put down on deposits for the funeral services and the burial, it has totalled up to the set amount of $15,000. There has been some miscommunication in the past week for making a deposit for the burial to continue. I went today to put down a small deposit and was told now they are looking for the full amount, as all the funeral preparations have be arranged for Sept 11th and now I am stuck with trying to find the funds.
Any amount would be gladly appreciated,
I hope when reading this you take it upon yourself, loved ones or friends to get checked out so you do not find yourself in this unfortunate situation.
Your health is very important!
