Hi, it's Gemma, Tracy's sister.
This page exists for two reasons. Firstly, and most importantly, to celebrate Tracy's wonderful life and secondly, because so many of you have already asked how you can contribute towards a celebration of her life.
As many of you know by now Tracy sadly passed away on Saturday 23rd April.
Tracy was diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer just over 4 months ago.
She underwent major surgery just before Christmas and had a rough time recovering with multiple set backs. She started chemotherapy at the end of February and it hit her hard - she struggled so badly.
After missing 2 cycles due to being so poorly, and being readmitted, we were told that chemotherapy was no longer an option. She had started Target Therapy but unfortunately became unwell again. Then on Easter Sunday she was admitted to hospital by ambulance with sepsis caused by the cancer. From then Tracy deteriorated rapidly, too fast for any of us. She fought so hard but it was a battle she couldn't win.
Our hearts are completely broken, our lives have been shattered. She was 42 years old, far too young to be taken.
Our lives will never be the same. The hole she has left is too big. I can't describe the pain we are all feeling right now.
Tracy was one of a kind. She was funny, caring, thoughtful, generous, beautiful inside and out. Her smile would light up a room and that laugh was infectious.
She was the most amazing Wife, Mum, Daughter, Sister, Auntie and Friend. Everybody loved her! ❤
Tracy loved her life. Mark, Jack and Phoebe meant the world to her and it broke her heart to leave them. She will live on through them and they will make her proud. ❤
Nobody is prepared for a funeral at the age of 42 and so I've started this collection to help towards giving her the best send off, one she deserves!
Anything you give will go towards the funeral costs and a celebration of Tracy's life on Saturday 7th May.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
We are, and Tracy certainly would be, overwhelmed by all the love and kindness being shown by so many of you at this time.
Loads of love,
Gemma and all the family xxx
