Hi everyone,

This is one of those situations where life didn’t just throw a curveball — it threw several, back to back, with zero warning.

KC is an EMT who spends his days taking care of others in their worst moments. Unfortunately, he is now in a position where our own family needs help.

He recently underwent emergency gallbladder removal surgery, which immediately put him out of work. Less than a week later — before he even had time to recover — KC was involved in a serious car accident that completely totaled his vehicle. Thankfully, our two small children were not involved, but the physical, emotional, and financial impact has been overwhelming.

Between surgery recovery, accident-related injuries, loss of transportation, and caring for our children, he will be out of work for an unknown amount of time. As an EMT, missing work means no income, and the bills don’t pause just because life falls apart.

We’re now facing:

• Medical bills from emergency surgery and the accident

• Loss of our family vehicle

• Basic living expenses while I’m unable to work

• Unexpected costs that come with healing and caring for two kids
