Please Help My Dad and His Dog Selena

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my elderly father and his beloved 10-year-old dog, Selena.

When my dad went outside to mow the lawn, Selena followed him out as she always does. Tragically, she was suddenly attacked by three very aggressive dogs, leaving her with serious injuries that require immediate medical attention.

Selena is not just a pet—she is my dad’s best friend, his source of comfort and company. At 10 years old, she is a gentle, loving soul who didn’t deserve this. The wounds she sustained are at high risk of becoming septic if not treated right away.

The Canadian Animal Task Force has estimated her vet care will cost around $1,500, which includes urgent treatment to prevent infection and give her the best chance at recovery. Unfortunately, this unexpected expense is more than my dad can afford on his fixed income.
