When Bella was a senior in high school, she one day was just not able to talk or move her legs. They came out of nowhere. We didn’t know what it was. She was terrified. She was rushed to the hospital, but they thought she was only having migraines. Then she lost her sight, she was having tremors, and then she started having migraines. She was rushed back to the hospital and after three days of intensive testing, we found out that she had functional neurological disorder. FND is a newer neurological disorder; it’s most of the time not diagnosed because it mirrors other diseases. Once she was diagnosed, she experienced so many different issues. She had to be homeschooled, leave her ROTC, and her dreams of going into the military behind. Then one day she started going into seizures, 3 to 4 at first, then 12 to 20. She was diagnosed with non-epileptic seizures. Her license was medically suspended. Before this disease, she was thriving. She had worked since she was 14 years old, and now she had to give it up due to the condition. Her body could no longer handle it; with every turn, it was failing her.
It’s been a year to date since she was diagnosed. Now she has even worse issues; she was just diagnosed with colitis. The bills are piling up. I’ve been trying my best to do this on my own, Right now the world is a crazy place; everything is too expensive for everyone. If you can donate, thank you so much. I hope and pray that everyone who fights a battle can find the light. And sometimes we have to ask for a little bit of help to find that light, and there’s no shame in that. My daughter taught me that. Thank you for your help. Bella’s mom.
