Julie was born facing difficulties many of us could not imagine. She has lived with disability her whole life, and is now battling homelessness. She has a beautiful soul, and deserves a safe place for her and her two dogs.

Our goal is to get Julie from Kansas back to Texas where her family is. She needs housing and medical attention. Julie has Mosaic Down Syndrome, severe dyslexia, and health issues that affect her ability to navigate daily life. Without a safe place to live, Julie has been left to fend for herself, and people have taken advantage of her kind spirit.

Julie and her two dogs have been homeless since April 2022, living out of her car in this sweltering summer heat.

All funds raised will go directly to finding Julie a home and meeting her immediate needs.

More About Julie

Julie lost her housing in April of 2022 and traveled to Kansas with her pups, hoping she would find more housing opportunities. Julie's family and support system is in Texas. Our goal is to get Julie back to Texas.

Julie is staying at a hotel in the Kansas City area temporarily, thanks to donations from friends. Her car is in the shop for engine issues.

With a broken window and no A/C, temperatures in her car have become unbearable. She had sought the cool of shady park areas to provide her two small dogs, Hallie and Hershey, with a respite from the heat.

Being confined to a car is not good for Julie's circulation, and she's experiencing swelling in her legs. This condition can be helped by getting back into stable housing and out of her car.
