"I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive" Acts:20:35
Ms. Nestora Ramirez is an 80 year old woman who is a lifelong resident of Mission, Texas. She began working at the age of 17 at her local grocery store and then for 5 years as a Tray Aide at Mission Hospital. Her next job was a Baker and Breakfast Cook also at Mission Hospital. She retired in the early 2000s in order to care for her ill unmarried sister, Nicanora who had Alzheimer's, dementia and ureteric cancer. Niconora passed away in 2015 at the age of 87. Ms. Ramirez, had also started taking care of another sister Josephina Kelley (who is 82 years old) before the first passed away. The two sisters, Nestora and Josephina are shown in the picture. The conditions under which they are living are deplorable. The house she owns has run down over time and is not secure from nature/other elements. The goal is to help build a basic 2 bedroom handicap accessible home for Ms Ramirez and her older sister.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25:35-36
We appreciate all your help to get this house project finished by December 2019. Thank you!
