Our dear friend Amanda Niebergall from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada is going through the battle of her life. Knowing how much she has to deal with right now, a small group of her close friends have started this Go Fund Me Page on her behalf. Amanda was diagnosed in May 2018 with cervical cancer that has now metastasized to her uterus and surrounding lymph nodes. Getting a diagnosis of Stage 4 A cancer at age 30 was a complete shock to Amanda and everyone in her life. Her primary supports right now are her mother Laura, father Glenn, step father Paul, brother Shane, boyfriend Kris and numerous friends who have been at her side encouraging her every step of the way.

To know Amanda is to know that she continually puts others before herself. Her care and commitment for people is evident in all that she does. From planning weddings and parties, to catering and child care on a moment's notice, Amanda has an open heart and a helping hand for anyone in need. Her gracious and loving nature is what connects her to us all. For Amanda, a stranger is just a friend she hasn't met yet! Amanda finished school in December 2017 and became an Educational Assistant. She was able to make her passion a reality and landed her dream job, working with young children. Unfortunately, only just a few months into this new role, she has had to leave and begin a new, unenviable job.....a fight for her life. Now it's our turn to help Amanda.

Since her diagnosis in May 2018, it has been nonstop, intensive treatments focused on eliminating this disease. Currently, she is half way through her 6-8 week treatment plan that consists of daily radiation, weekly chemotherapy and a new aggressive 3 week course of internal radiation is scheduled to start soon. Unfortunately, there have been some recent complications which have resulted in multiple surgeries and more intrusive methods to support her radiation schedule. It is not known at this point how her body will react to these grueling treatments. She has lost considerable weight and is extremely tired and weak. Despite all of this, her will to survive is stronger than ever.

Though emotionally, mentally and physically drained, Amanda continues to rise above and still is 100% committed to beating this cancer. Loved ones around her are inspired by her strength and motivated by her relentless will to survive. She is a role model to everyone she meets.

This diagnosis came so quickly that it has put tremendous financial strain on Amanda and her family. She was one day short of receiving health and disability benefits through work when she learned of her diagnosis. As a result, she has been without an income since May. With the most difficult part of her treatment still ahead, we have no idea when she will be able to return to work. This financial instability is now an added stress to Amanda that we want to ease so she can focus her energy where it needs to be....... fighting this disease.

After chemotherapy and radiation is complete, Amanda will be starting alternative and natural treatments including IV vitamin treatments for cancer, supplements and a specialized nutrition plan. Many of these treatments are not covered by private health plans or Sask Health. It is our goal to raise money for Amanda so that she can live comfortably during this difficult journey and be able to afford the treatments necessary to save her life.
