2023 Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant

Greetings,

My name is Kimberly Nolan, I am a senior majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior with a minor in Theatre. It is an honor to announce that I will be taking part in the 2023 Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant sponsored by the brothers of the Undisputed Upsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated®.

The purpose of the Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant is to highlight and foster the inextricable connection between success and etiquette among young women. The pageant spotlights poise, self-confidence, communication skills, intelligence, and beauty. After a 5-year hiatus, this pageant is returning to Florida Atlantic University! This will only be possible with your help and support.

I am vying to be the next Miss Black and Gold because I want to leave a mark of creativity and courage for my peers and generations to come. I want to show others the benefit of honing in on your individuality and using your experiences as a building block of strength and wisdom. I want to highlight the unique freedom of expression, especially through the arts. Different forms of art have both chemical and physical benefits, meaning that exploring artistic abilities– no matter how minuscule– will ultimately promote better physical and mental well-being. I believe it is equally important for us to focus on both academics and the arts, and I want to help everyone find that balance.

I am humbly asking that you please invest in my quest of becoming the next Miss Black and Gold for the Undisputed Upsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. All donations will be used to cover the mandatory fundraising dues and materials for the pageant. All forms of support are greatly appreciated! I am eternally grateful for your donations, love, and support as I embark on this once-a-lifetime opportunity.
