Hi everyone,

This is incredibly hard for me to write, as I typically wouldn’t ask for support. However, due to unexpected and overwhelming medical expenses, I am reaching out during a time when I truly need help for my dog, Simba.

Simba is a rescue, and while I don’t know much about his life before me, I do know that he has become everything to me. I’ve had him since July 2019, and although I was told he was 3 years old at the time, I later learned he was actually 5. Simba is now 12 years old. We’ve been through so much together including moving from New York to Georgia and through every high and low, it has always been just me and him. I truly believe our journey together was intentional.

A couple of weeks ago, Simba’s health declined suddenly. He stopped eating, became extremely lethargic, began vomiting, wasn’t moving around much, and wasn’t acting like himself. Since then, he has been under veterinary care and is still undergoing evaluations.

Thus far, Simba has been diagnosed with multiple serious medical conditions, including tracheal collapse, intervertebral issues, patella luxation, cataracts, an ear infection, and an infection affecting his liver. He is currently on six different medications and requires prescription food that he can only consume. Additional testing and follow-up care are still ongoing as the veterinarians continue to assess his condition.

The medical costs came on very suddenly and quickly exceeded what I am able to manage on my own.

Donations will go directly toward Simba’s vet visits, medications, prescription food, and any additional testing or care that may be needed in the coming weeks.

Simba is truly everything to me, and I am doing everything I can to give him the care he deserves. I am so thankful and grateful for anyone who is able to support, share, or keep us in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
