Max needs surgery

I'm not great with words... this is Max. Max is very sick.

It is a long story so bare with me.

In November last year, he collapsed and I took him to the emergency vet. They kept him over night and did blood tests, x-rays and ultrasounds.
They suspected a blockage but didn't see anything on the images.

Max then went back to my regular vet for supportive care for the day (drip, oxygen, more ultrasounds etc) then was transferred back to the emergency vet again to stay the night.

His X-rays and ultra sound were sent to a specialist for a 2nd opinion. It was their opinion that the problem was his spleen and to book in to get a specialist ultrasound with them.

I picked Max up and took him there the next day. They found nothing wrong with his spleen and did one on his stomach to confirm no blockages.
The technician noticed that he was breathing funny so she did another X-ray on his chest.
Max had picked up pneumonia during his stay at the vet.

Max then went back to the emergency vet for treatment and was allowed to return home with antibiotics.

The pneumonia was treated but the initial problem was never solved.

A few weeks later I took Max back to the vet because while Max was still eating fine, he was still losing weight. They couldn't find anything wrong with him so I was referred to the specialist again.

The specialist did a blood test and suspected IBD. He recommended a change of diet and to check back in in 4 weeks.
We did this.

2 days ago Max collapsed again. This time he was in obvious pain.
I took him to a different emergency vet and they suspected he had hurt his leg on a recent walk. Max was prescribed pain killers and sent home.

The next day Max was no better and had not eaten for over 24 hours so I took him back.  Another vet did a blood test and suspected an infection somewhere. She prescribed 2 types of antibiotics and sent him home.
Later that day Max collapsed again.
I rang the emergency vet to say I was on the way and they told me there was nothing more they could do for him and to take him to yet another specialist vet.

I took Max to that vet where he was put on supportive care and kept over night.

This morning they rang and told me that his pneumonia had returned and that he did have a blockage.
He is currently having a scan to determine what the blockage could be and see how bad his pneumonia is.

He will need surgery.

Up to now I have spent $6000 on misdiagnoses and I am looking at another $10,000 for today not including post op care.

He's been suffering for 3 months now. My once lively Blue Heeler is now a skinny shadow of himself.

I really need help.

Please help me help Max.
