Dick Hearns Centre

Dick Hearns was a native of Ballina , Co. Mayo, an all round sports man, who played senior Gaelic football for Mayo and five other counties, he was trainer of the Mayo team that won the Senior All Ireland in 1936.He  won 5 Irish Senior Boxing titles, and had an outstanding career training League of Ireland football teams. The funds are to to build a multi functional centre in Ballina in his honour. Construction is expected to commence in the early 2020.
